Cornhill Castle donates over £2,000 to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

After a year of fundraising, the team at Cornhill Castle have donated over £2,000 to charity, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

The team have spent a year fundraising by doing an abseil from the Forth Road Bridge, South Queensferry, donating their tips, and by organising various collections and raffles at the venue.

They invited the charity to the hotel to collect their cheque, which amounted to £2,309.76.

General Manager Neil Dougherty said, “We’re delighted we’ve been able to support Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. They do fantastic work not only all over Scotland but in their local communities. The support they give to people who have unfortunately hit a crisis point in their lives is second to none.”

Lauren MacKenzie, Assistant Fundraiser, West of Scotland, said, “We’re very grateful to receive this amount from Cornhill Castle and to have had their support during last year. All the money raised allows CHSS to offer advice, support and practical help to people across Scotland to get their lives back on track after a stroke or diagnosis of a chest or heart condition.”
