We recognise and reward loyalty – and on Thursday 19th September, we held our ‘long service celebration’.
All team members who have five years and more service with Manorview were invited to an evening of celebration at Boclair House.
A total of 130 attended the night, made up of our people plus their partners. The night was hosted by Chairman Steve Graham, and everyone was treated to a night which included dinner, drinks, entertainment and dancing. Everyone also received a ‘thank you’ gift of a free spa pamper day at our AURA Spa.
And our ‘long service’ team members have clocked up approximately 900 years of Manorview service between them!
We have many people who have been with us since our inception in 2007, and our first employee, Adele Montgomery, is still with us.
Adele is the General Manager of the Commercial Hotel in Wishaw, the venue which started our Manorview journey. Adele already worked for the hotel’s previous owners and she has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Adele said, “Hospitality is a great trade for young people which does have career opportunities. I’ve seen a lot of change, especially with the advent of social media, which is now an important part of our business. Some things don’t change though – such as how we’re a real community hub and always here for our customers. It’s a great industry to be part of”.
David Tracey, Managing Director said, “The hospitality trade can sometimes be seen as a temporary or secondary career – we want to change that. We promote the industry as a viable option with longevity. We want to attract people to work with us and stay with us. Dedication and loyalty are just some of the values contained in our Manorview ethos, and nights like this show our appreciation and thanks to our people”.
